one time i had a dream that a group of actors came to town to perform a play they had been working on. it was about st. katherine of alexandria and her mystical marriage.
they had some interesting costumes and they used a huge wheel with fireworks that they lit off. bubbles, my pet fish, said that i'm too easily influenced by spectacle. i told him that is the point of living drama. if i didn't want glitter and color i wouldn't go the theatre. i'd read a book instead.
after the play bubbles hung around and tried to talk shop with the actors, since he considers himself something of a film star. one of the actors said that she had seen the film where he played the beach d.j. she liked his work she said. bubbles liked the notoriety. he told them if they ever do a play of st margaret of antioch he'd like to audition for the part of the dragon. they told him the other play that they perform involves cowboys.
